Consultation on the Isle of Wight LFRMS (‘Local Flood Risk Management Strategy’)

The Isle of Wight LFRMS sets out the Isle of Wight Council’s approach to local flood risk management, as the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA).  This is the first LFRMS for the Isle of Wight since the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.  This Strategy describes how as the LLFA, Isle of Wight Council will work alongside other risk management authorities to manage local flood risk in its area and help local communities and businesses to better understand and manage flood risk. River basin management plans set out the priorities for protecting and improving the water environment to achieve benefits for the economy and to people’s health and wellbeing.
