- The Fire and Rescue Service may be able to assist with pumping out homes (if they do not have other priorities in saving lives). You may be charged a fee.
- You may need an environmental permit to pump water yourself. Before you do anything check with;
- The Environment Agency if you want to pump water into rivers, boreholes, ditches or watercourses.
- Your water company if you want to pump into public sewers
