
A new Island Rivers Catchment Project Fund opened for applications on Monday 1st of June 2026.
Funding is available for projects that aligns and contributes to the priorities and objectives of the Island Rivers Catchment:
- Improving Water Quality
- Managing Water Resources
- Restoring Habitats and Protecting Species
- Addressing Physical Modifications to Rivers
- Building Climate Resilliance
- Engaging Communities in River Stewardship
Who can apply?
The fund is open to all, however priority will be given to partnership projects and collaborative working. Capital and revenue expenses can be included:
- To support the development and delivery of new projects.
- To support and co-ordinate ongoing partnership projects.
For example, the unrestricted funding may be used for:
- Skills training and/or capacity building to support project development or delivery.
- Project development work, including assessments, modelling, or professional services.
- Delivery of capital projects.
Who will manage the fund?
The Isle of Wight Catchment Partnership Host – Natural Enterprise will manage applications and fund awards.
How long is it open?
£50K of funding available until March 2027 (it may close earlier if fully allocated). Please note that all projects need to be completed by the 31st March 2027.
