We have been really busy this month! The Island Rivers Catchment Plan has had a major update. It is a live document reviewed annually and is a framework for identifying opportunities and delivering collaborative projects to improve the Water Quality of all the Isle of Wight river catchments and coastal and groundwater, to reduce Flood Risk and improve Water Resources and Bio-diversity. Its updates include a whole new set of maps showing our past and present projects, as well as our aspirations.
And on the subject of aspirations, we have added a new page listing flagship projects we would like to deliver. So if your pockets are stuffed full of cash itching to do something, please contact us!
Finally a third new pages give access to live data on the Island’s Rivers. In the last couple of years a whole host of data has become available, specifically about the Island’s water-courses. This data is available to anyone to underpin a weight of evidence approach for any local projects. As much of this data is being constantly updated it is mainly accessible through links. There are several places to look, so please look at the options below.
