Consultation on the Isle of Wight LFRMS (‘Local Flood Risk Management Strategy’)

The Isle of Wight LFRMS sets out the Isle of Wight Council’s approach to local flood risk management, as the Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA).  This is the first LFRMS for the Isle of Wight since the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.  This Strategy describes how as the LLFA, Isle of Wight Council will work alongside other risk management authorities to manage local flood risk in its area and help local communities and businesses to better understand and manage flood risk.

IOW LFRMS_ConsultationDraft_Mar16

This is a Consultation Draft of the LFRMS, being issued for a six week period of consultation, commencing 31st March 2016. This is your opportunity to comment, and also to provide input into the Action Plan, which is provided in an Appendix. The main report is attached to this email as a Pdf file, and the appendices are available to download here (as the file is quite large. The Consultation will close on Friday 13th May 2016.

Please could you send any comments to jenny.jakeways@iow.gov.uk.
